Konstantinos (Kostas) Rantos is an Assistant Professor at the Industrial Informatics Department of the Kavala Institute of Technology. He received his Diploma in Computer Engineering and Informatics from the University of Patras, Greece, and both his M.Sc. and Ph.D.in Information Security (sponsored by Marie Curie Research and Training Grant) from Royal Holloway, University of London. He has extensive project involvement and more than 15 years of private/public-sector experience in the area of information security.His scientific interests lie in the areas of public-key infrastructures, embedded systems security, e-government services, authentication systems, smart cards, electronic paymentsystems and security awareness.
